COULD THERE BE DIFFERENT VERSIONS?
In my quest to understand the mystery and the complexities of the elusive Omnific Word, I have come to some indefinite conclusions. First, could the coming and arrival of Jesus reset the Omnific Word? What if the Holy Names of God (Yahweh i.e.,) pertain to the non-Christian believers? And another form is meant to be used for Christians?
COULD IT BE A GROUP OF WORDS?
I would like you to mull over this concept. What if for us Christians, the “Word” is actually a group of words. My theory is this; “Jesus Christ Of Nazareth ” I feel that for us normal believers we need to be specific. How many times have to heard someone say, “to sum it up in a word,” only to say a sentence? We need to say the complete phrase. Why? Because those who are more learned, more is given and expected. They have more power. Remember in the Nag Hammadi texts, Jesus separates his teachings for the Twelve from the average Joe followers. Those Twelve were told the Omnific Word. And it more than likely was just one word. Now, many Saints and mystics attest that the Holy Name of Jesus is all powerful. We also know beyond certain that the Holy Court stands in attention at the mention of His name. But, how many times a week do you hear Jesus’s name mentioned in passing, under someone’s breath or used as a adjective? Being careless as we are, perhaps we have lessened it’s impact. Which is why we must clearly state our intent with the phrase – “Jesus Christ of Nazareth.” Why this choice? I’ve been reading about the Saints, mostly the mystics. This title of Christ has been repeated several times.
Could the teachings of Jesus, have further propelled the Omnific Word from God to Christ? Just as the New Testament added more nuisances and depth to the Old Testament, with this came a new Omnific Word – Jesus. To the holy and more developed souls, the many names of God mentioned in the Bible must be the truth. For no falsifications are found, no error in God’s word. Which means again, HOW they are said. With what reverence? Are there inflictions of tone? Our we to sing His name, like in the psalms?
DOES THE DELIVERY MATTER?
Yes, I think it does. I’ve long held the theory that ‘indifferent prayer’ gets answered. I’ve discovered some truths about this. Removing the emotion out of your desperate pleas for an answer, work. Though it’s referred to as giving it to “God’s will, ” I beg to differ. No, I STILL want my prayer answered in the affirmative. But I prepare myself not for a plea, nor do I nag, instead I state the intention and expect the results. I liken this to going into the boss’s office and asking for a raise. You know you are going to get the raise. You are confident, you’re a hard worker, make little mistakes, always show for work. But you must go through the formalities of asking and giving your case. Doesn’t it always work? I think the same goes for answered prayer…unless you are praying for yourself!
If you are praying for yourself or your family, this is where indifferent prayer becomes extremely difficult. Here is where the Omnific Word or phrase must be used for us Average Joes. Try this, when you pray try not to get too emotional, no crying, no begging, no bargaining. So, a lot of prep work is needed first. But ask nonchalantly, as though the outcome is not life or death – even though it may be. This is where the ‘peace of God’ comes into play. In the Bible how many times was Jesus just going about the business of healing? Rarely did He become involved. When the Apostles cured, they didn’t hem and haw, they proclaimed in His name and continued on. When a few failed Jesus said they didn’t ask right. Could the ‘right’ way be removing the emotion?
For the non-Christians, calling upon the sacred names of God, the same rules must apply. It must still be Yahweh, Elohim, and the list of names in the Old Testament or the Torah. In the Old Testament, those behind the Temple curtain were alone with God’s presence. They were mindful, reverent, but do you think they begged? What if they asked just similar to the office scenario?
WHERE DOES PRAISE FACTOR IN?
I guess this is VERY big. You must give pre-approval gratitude to any requests. This is not easy. If all were well, you wouldn’t be asking. But it’s a necessity. According to Mother Angelica, this move always works. You must stroke God’s ego. And it needs to be genuine. So the mindset must be the elation that the prayer is ALREADY granted. Using your relief that the outcome is okay – begin thanking God. But, but – you must not have any anxiety, using the indifferent attitude, knowing (imagining) all is well.
I feel that this is yet another piece of the mystery puzzle to answered prayer.
